Talonettes are 1st - 6th grade dance teams for Argyle Youth Football Association (AYFA). We perform a variety of dance routines during AYFA games each Saturday.

Key Dates:

 

• Uniform Fitting: TBD

• Camp Dates: July 27th - 30th

  • ​1st - 3rd grade 9:00am - 11:30am

  • 4th - 6th grade 9:00am - 2:00pm

  • Location: TBD

• ​Practice Date: Typically weekly on Thursday, starting August 6th

• First Game: August 29th

 

For the 2026 season we will be creating 2 teams.

​

• 1st - 3rd grade team will perform at the 1st -3rd grade flag or tackle football games held in Argyle.  This team will also attend playoff games for Argyle teams advancing through the playoffs. Playoff games may be played at different locations. 

 

• 4th - 6th grade team will perform at the 4th - 6th grade tackle football games held in Argyle.  This team will also attend playoff games for Argyle teams advancing through the playoffs. Playoff games may be played at different locations. 

 

The teams will learn several stand routines we perform during the game and 1-2 field routines which are performed at half-time. 

 

Practice dates and times will be confirmed soon.  Each team will practice for 90 minutes.

• Cold weather gear 

• Camp expenses

• End of season event

• AYFA registration fee

 

We ask that you provide a pair of nude jazz shoes (this typically cost about $25-$30 and can be bought at stores like Academy or from Amazon).   

 

No dance experience is necessary. Some girls will have lots and some will have none. We will provide the kids all the necessary skills they need to have an amazing season!

 

Parents of 1st, 2nd & 3rd graders:

To make the season successful we need your help! Our 1st – 3rd grade teams need coaches. While some dance experience is preferred, it is not necessary. We will teach you all the routines.
