Talonettes 2023 Uniform Design – COMING SOON

Talonettes is a Kinder - 6th grade drill team for AYFA.

 

For the 2023-2024 season we will be creating 2 teams.

Kinder – 2 nd team will perform at the Kinder – 2nd flag football games held at Argyle High School. The team will attend the first half of the game and departing after halftime performance.

3rd – 6th grade team will perform at the 3rd – 6th grade tackle football games held at Argyle Stadium. The team will attend for the entire game. This team will also attend playoff games for Argyle teams advancing to through the playoffs. Playoff games may be played at different locations. We perform on Saturdays at half time of the youth sports football games. We have a one week camp in the summer in early August, where we break down and teach the girls our on field routine. The team will also learn several stand routines we perform during the game. We will practice 1 afternoon per week beginning the week of August 21st.

 

Practice dates and times will be announced soon.

Kinder – 2nd grade will practice for 1 hour. 3rd – 6th for 90 minutes.

Additional activities: 

Perform at AT&T Stadium during NTFL/AYFA event (more info coming soon)

Perform at AHS Homecoming Pep Rally

Perform at the Argyle Holiday Tree Lighting 

In the spring, we offer the girls the opportunity to perform at the AHS Majestics Spring Show. 

 

Registration costs $275 and includes almost everything the girls will need for the season. 

 

Included with registration: 

• Uniform - field dress – NEW design for 2023

• Poms

• Bow

• Cold weather gear – leotard, leggings, jacket

• Camp expenses

• End of season event

• AYFA registration fee

We ask the parents to provide a pair of nude jazz shoes (this typically cost about $25-$30 and can be bought at stores like Academy).   All our uniforms are custom made and the production time usually takes most of the summer.  Instructions will be provided to measure your daughter for her uniform.

No dance experience is necessary. Some girls will have lots and some will have none. We will provide the kids all the necessary skills they need to have an amazing season!

 

Parents of Kinder, 1st or 2nd graders:

To make the season successful we need your help! Our Kinder – 2nd grade team needs coaches. While some dance experience is preferred, it is not necessary. We will teach you all the routines.
